Our Carrot Cake is a perennial favorite with loads of carrots, toasted walnuts and spice. This cake is finished with cream cheese frosting and more toasted walnuts.
If your cake will be sliced for you by catering staff at an event, plan for a rectangular “catered” slice size of 1″ x 2″ x 4″. When slicing a cake into wedges at home, servings tend to be larger and you should expect fewer slices per cake.
A 6-inch round cake yields approximately 15 “catered” slices; when slicing into wedges at home, expect 6 – 8 slices from a 6-inch cake.
