Accessibility at CRUST

Everyone should be able to find our hours, read our menu and ingredients, and order from CRUST, online or in person. We’re working to make our website easy to use for all of our guests, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, magnification or other assistive technology.

What we’re working toward

We’re working to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the widely used standard for accessible websites. Our site is a work in progress, and we’re improving it as we go.

What we’ve done

  • Real text, not pictures of textOur menu, ingredient lists and baking instructions are written as text, so they work with screen readers, text zoom and translation tools.
  • Descriptions for imagesPhotos that carry meaning include a short text description.
  • Keyboard-friendlyMenus, buttons and links can be reached and used with a keyboard.
  • Readable on any screenPages resize for phones and tablets and hold up when you zoom in.
  • Clear contrastWe choose text and background colors with readability in mind.
  • Printable instructionsEach baking instruction card can be printed on its own in plain, high-contrast black and white.
Being upfront

Where we’re still working

  • Online ordering, the restaurant waitlist and eGift cards are provided by Toast, and some videos are hosted by Vimeo. We don't control how those services are built, but we're happy to help you another way.
  • Some older pages and product listings may not yet meet the standards we're working toward. We're reviewing them as we update the site.
